Reach for the Stars completed its original run at Tokyo Disneyland on September 14, 2026. The nighttime production used Cinderella Castle as its projection surface, combining animated imagery, lighting, Disney music, and pyrotechnic effects. It had premiered on September 20, 2024, and its final summer was presented in an extended form called Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams.

Current Show Status

The show is currently listed as closed.

Tokyo Disney Resort states that the original production is no longer presented after September 14, 2026. Its published schedule shows that date as the end of the run.

When Reach for the Stars Ran

Reach for the Stars was a Tokyo Disneyland nighttime spectacular staged at Cinderella Castle in Urayasu, Chiba. The production debuted on September 20, 2024. When it was announced, Tokyo Disney Resort described a program of roughly 20 minutes with one or two performances on operating days.

Those historical performance patterns should not be mistaken for a current timetable. The show reached its final scheduled date on September 14, 2026, so travelers searching for a present-day Reach for the Stars time should rely on the current status shown above rather than older schedules preserved elsewhere online.

The Castle Forecourt was the focus of the production. Because the imagery was mapped directly onto Cinderella Castle, the experience depended on a clear view of the castle façade rather than a procession route or a separate indoor theater.

What Appeared on Cinderella Castle

The production centered on Disney characters pursuing dreams and adventures through sequences projected across Cinderella Castle. Tinker Bell appeared near the beginning, followed by scenes drawing from Disney and Pixar titles including Toy Story, Big Hero 6, Up, Dumbo, Hercules, and Mary Poppins.

Other projected characters included Aladdin and Jasmine, WALL-E and EVE, Baymax, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel. The Marvel sequences had a separate place in Tokyo Disney Resort history: the resort’s launch announcement identified the superheroes as the first Marvel characters to appear in one of its entertainment programs.

Projection mapping carried most of the visual storytelling, while castle lighting and pyrotechnics expanded the scenes beyond the projected image. The soundtrack used familiar Disney music alongside the show’s own musical material, allowing the production to move between films without functioning as a simple collection of isolated clips.

Historical Viewing Context

During the show’s run, some viewing arrangements used designated areas around the Castle Forecourt. These arrangements belonged to the former production and should not be treated as access instructions for current Tokyo Disneyland entertainment.

The Everlasting Dreams Finale

From July 2 through September 14, 2026, the show was presented as Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams. This was an expanded farewell version rather than a separate castle production.

After the regular show, an additional epilogue lasting about five minutes placed more character imagery on Cinderella Castle to music created for the final period. Tokyo Disney Resort also introduced drones into the finale, with lights moving above the castle as part of the closing sequence.

The official schedule listed the extended version at about 25 minutes, compared with about 20 minutes for the earlier production. That difference explains why recordings, trip reports, and archived listings from 2026 may show a longer running time than information published when Reach for the Stars first opened in 2024.

The farewell presentation ended together with the main production on September 14, 2026. Older references to Everlasting Dreams therefore describe the closing period of Reach for the Stars, not a continuing seasonal version.
