Dragon Bridge crosses the Han River in Da Nang with its dragon-shaped structure running along the roadway and the dragon’s head facing the eastern side of the river. During the scheduled fire-and-water performance, the head becomes the focus as flame bursts are followed by a powerful water spray. The setting makes the show easy to combine with an evening walk along the Han River rather than treating it as a separate ticketed attraction.

Friday through Sunday, one performance is scheduled at 9:00 PM.
How the Dragon Bridge Performance Works
The performance takes place at the dragon’s head rather than along the entire length of the bridge. The fire section comes first, sending visible flames from the dragon’s mouth, and the water section follows with a forceful spray. From close range, the contrast between the two parts is much clearer than it appears in ordinary nighttime photographs of the bridge.
The scheduled performance is separate from seeing Dragon Bridge illuminated after dark. You can visit the riverfront on other evenings and still see the bridge as part of Da Nang’s night skyline, but the fire-and-water sequence only takes place during listed performances.
Da Nang may also schedule extra performances around major holidays or city events. Those additions are not a reason to assume the show runs every night, so the current schedule shown on this page should be used for the date you plan to visit.
Choosing Your View of the Bridge
You can watch from the bridge area itself or from the Han River waterfront. The experience changes noticeably with distance. Staying near the dragon’s head puts you close to the flame and water effects, while a position farther along the riverbank gives you more space to see the dragon-shaped bridge as a whole.
Water-Spray Tip
Standing close to the dragon’s head can put you within reach of the water spray. Choose a position farther back or across the river if staying dry matters more than seeing the effects from very close range.
The east side of the bridge places you nearer the dragon’s head and the point where the effects are produced. On the west-bank side, the riverfront around Bach Dang Street offers more distance and a broader side view across the Han River. Riverside cafés and other elevated positions can also provide a different perspective when they have an unobstructed view toward the bridge.
People tend to gather around the bridge before a scheduled performance, especially near the head. Reaching your preferred viewing area before the crowd becomes dense gives you more freedom to choose between a close view and a wider riverfront position.
Planning the Rest of the Evening
Dragon Bridge links the central Da Nang side of the Han River with the eastern side leading toward the beach districts, so it fits naturally into an evening spent around the riverfront. The bridge is also close enough to other central riverside areas that walking can be more practical than repeatedly arranging short vehicle trips between nearby stops.
If you are approaching from the beach side, the Vo Van Kiet corridor leads toward Dragon Bridge. From the city-center side, the bridge meets the riverfront near Bach Dang Street. Exact parking arrangements and vehicle access can change around busy events, so avoid depending on one specific curbside or roadside stopping point.
The performance draws spectators onto and around the bridge, and traffic management may affect how close a vehicle can take you at show time. For a smoother arrival, allow enough time to walk the final section if needed rather than planning to reach the viewing area at the last moment.
